Happy Wednesday! I don’t know about you but January has lasted about four months too long and I’m ready for some sun and a new month! I’ve been trying to shake the funk that comes with dark days, snow, sleet and cold temps and it’s been tough. I’ve tried sunless tanner, drinking water, listening to audio books and more, but really nothing does that better than getting my body moving. But it’s still hard to be motivated to exercise in the Winter! I recently picked up some new workout gear from JCPenney in an effort to get myself going because nothing gets me more motivated to work out like some fresh athletic gear and it worked it’s magic. I love everything I got and can’t wait to share!
I love that JCPenney carries a variety of athletic brands as well as their own brand- and you can always find great items on sale. I snagged this cute coat that I’ve been wearing non-stop, but I knew it would be great for wearing to the gym or out for walking the dog. This fuzzy pullover is Xersion brand and has cute rose gold details. I love the fabric and it feels great over a basic workout tank like this one. I also picked up these black Nike leggings and they fit tts. I bought them in XS and they fit well. I also got these shorts in this gray camo print and love them for working out inside in the Winter. These sneakers really stuck out to me and work great for weight lifting and other cross training in the gym. I always feel motivated when I have new gym shoes. Surely it’s not just me right? All in all, I’m loving all of these athletic items from JCPenney and you can pick all of them up on sale right now as well.
As far as what I’m doing to workout these days- it’s a big mix but really inconsistent! We have a gym in our basement so mostly I’m just lifting weights or doing a workout video here or there. My friend recently got certified as a High Fitness Instructor and her classes are so fun. I would love go to them every week! And if it would ever stop snowing I would love to start running again. I stopped right before Thanksgiving and it would feel great to get back into it again. We have a vacation planned to Hawaii in March and I’d love to get a little stronger before we go. Our friends that are planning the trip are adventurous and so I have a feeling I’ll want to be somewhat in shape! 🙂
