After a long, weird year, workwear is a thing again! I’m so excited that trends and outfits and even jeans are back- especially as we are in these more fun style months like October and November. It’s such a breath of fresh air to get to put outfits together and get dressed again. It’s no longer unusual to wear blazers and layers and accessories- and I love it. Today’s outfit is a little more geared to office style and showing business casual in an updated way. I’m sharing my two favorite blazers and some outfit inspo around them.
We have a unique work situation in that I set the dress code at work and for Nickel & Suede. I love to change up my style and that means a lot more out-of-the box style possibilities for employees than at most offices. We usually stick with business casual, but jeans are always acceptable and loungewear even passes sometimes. Even though I’m find with jeans and tee, I do love a suit and a great jacket is always a good idea.
I am really into blazers this season and wanted to share my favorite classic, and even more affordable blazer picks. Today’s navy blazer is under $100 and also comes in cream and black. It is a little less structured, I do love the gold buttons and it’s pretty true to size. Today I’ve paired it with an older striped shirt from my closet, some Levi’s and gold heels that pull the buttons in. My other favorite blazers are the Parke blazer from J.Crew. I usually size down for a trim fit, but they are really great quality and super tailored- which I love. I have it in several colors and you can often find a unique colorway on sale. This one layers super well with a graphic tee!
