So, those are my picks this month. I’ll share more in a couple of weeks and yes- I plan on doing some makeup tutorials. Would you prefer photo or video tutorials? What products are you loving lately?
As you know a few weeks ago I made a dramatic change to my hair. It is quite a bit shorter and I’ve been spending a lot of time learning how to make it work for me and how I like to style it. I still feel like I don’t quite have a handle on it- (it’s tricky!) but soon I’ll get some tutorials going and share what I’ve learned.
Another part of changing my hair has been adjusting my makeup to fit. With a long pixie makeup is must to make up for the less feminine hairstyle. For Christmas I asked for mostly makeup so today I’m sharing a few new products that I’ve tried recently.
1. NYX HD Studio Primer– I wanted to try a new primer out so I decided to give this NYX primer a try. I have previously been using Revlon PhotoReady Primer and it worked okay. Unfortunately I don’t think the NYX is any better than the Revlon primer. And it costs more. Both primers work better than no primer, but I do find that by the end of the day I need to touch up my foundation and blush. I probably should have just bought the Urban Decay makeup primer. It costs twice as much- but I’ve heard amazing things about it and I’m sure it would go a long way.
