Hello from the short side! If you’ve been following me for several years you know that short hair is my jam. I went short about 9 years ago and I never really went back. I have however tried lots of short hair cuts and styles and even colors. This last year I’ve been in grow-out mode after a time with an undercut. I loved my undercut, but after a particularly stressful time I lost a lot of hair and losing hair combined with an undercut was not cute. My short hair was really thin and needed a revamp. I started taking supplements to grow my hair (these) and I got extensions to thicken it up while it grew. It worked really well and after two rounds of them, I was able to take them out and my hair was all back to basically one length. Today I wanted to share some updated pictures of my asymmetrical short bob and current color.
Today I wanted to share some updated pictures of my asymmetrical short bob and current color. It took me a minute to get used to the almost pixie length, but once I got the right products in it and stopped washing it so much, it’s really feeling good. I love an asymmetrical short cut and this bob length is great on me.
For the cut we decided to go chin-length on my left side and just mid-ear on my right side. It’s just long enough to tuck it behind my ear and then I had her blend the length as it angled around the back. There are a few layers and she put some texture in. My hair is medium thickness but it’s fine so it can be pretty flat without enough product or teasing.
As far as my color, I’m still using a 3N to dye my roots every 5-6 weeks. It fades out and lightens up over the 5-6 weeks and the ends are a result of that.
I still use a lot of the products in this post.
And you can find other cuts and styles I’ve had over the years in this post or by searching #olmhair on Instagram.
