In the Midwest we are fortunate enough to get all four seasons and I love it. I don’t love the freezing temps and I don’t love the crazy humidity, but I do love having a little bit of everything. And although it’s not a guarantee, we almost always get snow. This year we’ve had three- maybe four snow days already and my boys have been in heaven. They love playing in the snow and Samson, our puppy, has been loving it too! I how much energy they use in the snow, but I will say I hate finding all of their gear. Dressing kids in snow gear might be one of my top ten least favorite mom chores. I can’t be alone in this one. But being married to a man of the outdoors, I do think we have some pretty good snow gear for our boys and I wanted to share those picks with you. Today I’m sharing our favorite snow boots, winter coats, snow pants, gloves and more for boys and toddlers.
BOOTS: We love Sorel snow boots. Our whole family has them. I have several versions of them and we literally have them in all sizes for our boys. We keep them in the boxes and then each year get out the appropriate sizes for each kiddo. I stocked up sizes each year as I saw them on sale- like they are today.
COATS: We also buy our kids all the same coat. They aren’t all the same color, but they are all all Colombia down coats. We stock up on sizes when they go on sale- like they are today. It takes the thinking out the process and they work well. Fit is sometimes on the large side with these.
PANTS: These are great snow pants and bibs. I’m still working on getting these pants in all sizes. These are also on sale now!
GLOVES: These pairs are all ones we recommend. The fleece ones just don’t seem to stay warm or dry!
MITTENS: These pairs are all ones we recommend. The fleece ones just don’t seem to stay warm or dry!
I hope these recommendations help as you outfit your kids in winter coats, gloves, snow boots and more. I’m sure the girl’s version of all of these are just the right thing as well!
